Laboratory investigation included mainly microagglutination test, real-time PCR, multi-locus sequence typing (MLST) for Other agents of infection were excluded. The resulted positive interrogans Icterohaemorrhagiae both with serological molecular assays. All other 66 underwent clinical laboratory twice, 15 days apart. No dog showed signs. At first sampling, eight (12%) antibodies against serogroup Icterohaemorragiae serovar Copenhageni. Real-time PCR urine samples seropositive detected spp. DNA one sample, then identified as MLST. Three of three Syrian hamsters died 8 to 9 days after intraperitoneal challenge with 10(6) leptospires. In contrast, five of six animals given ciprofloxacin 3 or 5 days after challenge survived.
